This Privacy Policy describes how Gooder Apps (“Gooder Apps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Indianapolis, Indiana, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Picksy mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect a handle, display name, optional avatar image, and an authentication identifier from our identity provider. We do not store your password.
Profile and content. We collect information you choose to provide, including your bio, interests, picksies, stories, options, photos, videos, votes, reactions, comments, and the circles and friends you create or join.
Contacts (optional). If you grant permission to import contacts in order to invite people to a circle, we read names, phone numbers, and email addresses from your device. Contacts are processed only to send the invites you initiate; we do not upload your full address book to our servers and we do not use contacts for advertising.
Device and usage information. We collect basic device and log information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, IP address, crash reports, and actions you take in the app (for example, screens viewed and features used). This helps us run, secure, and improve the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies. On the web we may use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.
Communications. If you contact us by email we will receive your message and any information you choose to share.

2. How We Use Information

To create and operate your account and the Service.
To deliver, personalize, and improve features such as your feed, notifications, search, and friend suggestions.
To moderate content, prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
To analyze how the Service is used and to develop new features.
To send transactional messages (for example, friend requests, votes on your picksy, password resets) and, with your consent where required, occasional product updates.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How Information Is Shared

Picksy is built around sharing with people you choose. Your picksies, stories, and profile information are visible to the audience you select (for example, public, friends, a specific circle, or anonymous). Beyond what you choose to share with other users, we share information only as follows:

Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, including authentication, cloud hosting, push notifications, media storage, analytics, and content moderation. These providers are bound by contract to use information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety. We may share information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or Gooder Apps.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete content from inside the app at any time. When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal, accounting, or legitimate operational reasons (for example, fraud prevention or backups), in which case it is securely stored until deletion is possible.

5. Your Choices and Rights

Access and update. You can view and edit your profile and content from inside the app.
Visibility. You can choose the audience for each picksy or story and remove items at any time.
Notifications and contacts. You can change notification preferences in your device settings, and you can revoke contacts permission at any time in your device settings.
Account deletion. You can delete your account from the app or by emailing support@gooderapps.com.
Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact support@gooderapps.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@gooderapps.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique credential for the email or identity you use to sign in.

8. International Users

Gooder Apps is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service you understand that your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The “Effective” date at the top indicates when this policy was last updated.
